West Boggs Open

West Boggs Open

Tuesday, June 19, 2018

The third and final event of the West Boggs Open series wrapped up this past weekend and eighteen teams took to West Boggs Lake out of the Park Ramp.

The team of Alan and Tyler Harris took the win on June 16th with a limit weighing 8.20lbs. "We caught fish all day and were able to cull a few times, but most of our weight came before 10:30 am," they said. There was no distinct depth range as the team power-fished in everything from ultra-shallow water to 20-feet deep around grass. "We focused on shade pockets since it was very hot out there," they added.

As an added bonus for these events, the top 3 USA BASSIN teams of each of these tournaments that acquire 250 or more points, fishing USA BASSIN tournaments during the 2018 season, will also qualify for the Lucas Oil Tournament of Champions.

Here are the results from the final event:

  1. Harris / Harris 5/8.20
  2. Yeary / Bohling 5/4 7.94
  3. Rusher / Rusher 4/6.34
  4. Harrell / None 3/5.54
