Bethel $20,000 Scholarship Winner

Bethel University is known for having one of the best college bass fishing teams in the country and each year, alongside USA Bassin, they offer a scholarship to a deserving young angler. This award is given out to a youth based on their achievements over their whole USA BASSIN career.

This year, Levi Mullins was chosen as the winner. He has fished with his dad Jeff since 2015 and together they have competed in 49 events.

Here are a few more stats for his career fishing with us:

• Brought in 40 bass over the past three years
• Weighed-in 90.03lbs in the last three years
• The largest bass caught in a USA BASSIN Tournament weighed-in at 7.77lbs
• Since 2015 his team has recorded 2,928 points fishing USA BASSIN tournaments

Levi was very excited and grateful to be awarded this scholarship. He said he was still deciding on whether or not to go to college after graduation, but this made it all possible and helped him make up his mind to pursue college fishing. "I have been following Bethel on social media and they have a very good bass fishing team. They have had a lot of success," he said. 

With a goal of eventually fishing professionally, this is the next step in his career as the Bethel teams has great training and are very close to Kentucky Lake. "I have only fished there one time, but I am sure I will fish it much more now," added Mullins.
