Latest News Dixie Marine Ohio River Regional![]() Tuesday, October 08, 2019 The Dixie Marine Ohio River Regional was held on October 6th out of the White Oak Ramp. The event featured 42 teams vying for the guaranteed first-place prize of $1,500. The duo also took home an extra $1,000 for running a Garmin as part of the Garmin Grand Giveaway. When the final bag was weighed in, the team of Brian Mahon and Tommy Boles were declared the winners with a limit weighing 7.95lbs. Their bag was helped by a 3.33lb bass. Their day started off unusually with a broken water line and some craziness at their campsite, but they persevered and ended up winning the event. "It started pretty bad, but we had a pretty good day. We caught a fish here and there and ended up with nine keepers on the day," said Boles. They flipped wood with two soft-plastic baits made locally, one is called a Woog and the other a Sweeper. Both of these baits were in the Pumpkinseed color and were the key to catching their winning bag. Top 5 Results
