 | Latest News Brownie’s Marine Geist Regional![]() Wednesday, October 07, 2020 The Brownie’s Marine Geist Regional wrapped up after three days of fishing on October 4th. The event featured a qualification system where the top 10% from each day qualify for the Championship Day. Taking the win on Championship Day was the team of Jason Kiser and Jeff Wehner with 19.36lbs. They switched gears completely from how they qualified and were able to edge out David Powell and Joe Powell for the $5,000 first-place prize. "The conditions were completely different than the day we qualified," said Kiser. "We fished a different area and caught them differently." The Championship Day started slowly for the team but they put it together late. "We had a limit by 11:00 but only had around nine pounds," Keiser recapped. "It started raining pretty hard from 10 to noon and then we started catching bigger ones around 2:00." The team focused on docks with plastics and jigs in six to eight feet of water and started racking up their total with quality fish. "It was so much fun at the end of the day we didn't want to stop fishing," he added. Results
