Latest News Ranger Aluminum Cup![]() Monday, November 09, 2020 The Ranger Aluminum Cup was held November 6th and 7th on Tennessee's Chickamauga Lake and featured a first-place prize of a brand new Ranger RT188 Ranger Boat with a 90HP Mercury outboard, The team of Daniel Sepeck and Mike Arnold were able to get the win by staying consistent. They ended up with a two day total of 24.37lbs. After Day 1, they found themselves within striking distance and in sixth place after catching three bass for 10.95lbs. On the second day, they brought in 13.42lbs and ended the event on the top of the standings. "It was a blessing," Arnold said. "You wouldn't think you could win on Chickamauga with 24 pounds for two days." The team feels that the fishing was tough based on the conditions. "The water dropped eight feet from when we got there to the tournament day," Arnold said. "It was more like September weather and we fished it like that, we went back into the pockets. The current was just too much on the main river." The water levels stabilized when the tournament started and Sepeck and Arnold looked for baitfish activity and listened closely for the clues. "We looked for bait but also listed for that 'snap, crackle, and pop' sound of bass eating baitfish in the mats," he says. "He threw the frog on the mat and I fished a swimbait on the edges. He landed the bigger ones doing that but we fish as a team and don't care who catches what." They found themselves struggling midday on the second day and made a key adjustment to seal the win. "We ran to one point and were able to catch two nice ones between 1 and 2 o'clock and that did it for us," Arnold added. Top 5
