Latest News Southern Indiana RegionalsSaturday, October 09, 2010 Director Gary Earl for the second year launches a full feild of fisherman for the USA Bassin' Southern Indiana Regionals with 173 boats. Despite water temps high and water levels low 125 teams of Bassin anglers was able to weight fish on Potaka Lake. Many teams with early draws reported catching good fish and still listening to bass boats take off for the tournament. Fishing deep on rocks Travis Edgar and Mike Winkleman was able to catch a limit of bass by 10:00am. In an interveiw with Travis he said "With an early limit it gave us a chance concentrate on catching bigger fish". The team was able to cull two fish during the remainder of the tournament. Edgar and Winkleman turned in a 18.57 limit of bass to edge out Kenneth McBroom and Garrett Bear's 18.52 bag. The win was the team's first regional win and the first year the team have participated in USA Bassin'. Team McBroom and Bear was able to hold onto big bass with a 5.86 largemouth that beat out the winnings team's 5.24 big fish. Congradulation to all who will advance to a USA Bassin Classic. Thank you to Garl Earl and all who made this year's Southern Indiana Regional a success.
