Latest News Cave Run Regional![]() Tuesday, November 01, 2022 The Cave Run Regional was held out of Clay Lick in October. Taking first on a tough day of fishing was the team of Steve Caudill and Rodney Roe. Their limit weighed 6.32lbs. "It was super tough fishing and I don't know it was the conditions of the fishing pressure," said Caudill. "We fished another tournament on the same lake the day before and had more weight, but finished 5th in that one." The team knew there was a frog bite going on but decided to stick offshore to avoid some of the fishing pressure. "We started offshore in the brushpiles, but caught several fish on some stumps off the bank," he said. "You had to move your jig really slow to get a bite." On the day, they had two overs and three unders, the last was a sub-13" fish that came on a drop-shot late in the day. Only fish under 13" or over 16" can be weighed in on the lake. "With the slot on Cave Run, those unders are really important to do well," he added. Congrats to all of the top teams! Top 5
