Loveless wins Bass Cat Drawing

The annual Championship Week features big money events and the chance to win boats for your fishing, both for the Bass Cat Classic and Silver Cup. But, this year another boat was given away as part of the “Go Fish” drawing and Jordan Loveless was the lucky winner.

"It was awesome, I couldn't believe they called my name to come draw a card," he said.

First, anglers must get in the drawing by either competing in the Silver Cup, the LAND BIG FISH Tournament of Champions, or the Bass Cat Classic. This gives them one entry into the drawing. If their name is called, they get to come up and pick one of the cards numbered 1-25. Loveless was the third name called and picked the right card.

"Two anglers came up before me and picked their numbers and I was already going to pick #8," he said. "That number was given to me in youth baseball and I kept it for 10 years while growing up and playing baseball."

Jordan fishes USA Bassin with his father, Jerry, and the two also run the Raccoon Lake and Glenn Flint Divisions in Indiana. For now, Jordan fishes as a non-boater and is still undecided if he's going to keep the Bass Cat Bobcat and Mercury outboard and use it or sell it.

"I've got a lot of options, but really I'm still pretty speechless about it," he said. "The whole thing is pretty crazy."
