Latest News Bass Cat Silver Cup Sunday, April 28, 2024 The first event of Championship Week was the Bass Cat Silver Cup and was held out of Pickwick Landing State Park. Kicking the week off with a big win was the team of Nick Couch and James Napier, who took home a Bass Cat BobCat powered by a 150 horsepower Mercury Outboard. The team started the event strong with a 26.02lb limit that included a 7.95lb kicker that also won big bass for the event. They had a tougher second day, with 15.86lbs, but it was more than enough for the win. "We caught them good the first day but our pattern didn't hold up the second day," Couch said. "It was 15 or 20 keepers on Day 1 and maybe 10 the final day. It was all the same pattern and places, just a much tougher bite." The team was thrilled to get the win and new Bass Cat. "It was a blessing for sure," said Couch. "We were nervous coming in thinking we lost it with catching less than 16 pounds, but it held up." Top 5
