Latest News Brookville Regional Wednesday, October 16, 2024 On October 13th, teams took to the waters of Brookville Reservoir searching for the winning limit of bass in this year’s USA Bassin Regional. Coming out on top at the end of the day was the father and son team of Rusty and Jacob Low. Their winning bag of 15.35 pounds included a true Brookville giant, a 6.00 lb. largemouth which also captured the tournament’s Big Bass award. The Low’s reported they caught their mixed bag of largemouth and smallmouth bass shallow on a combination of topwater and bladed jigs with much of their success coming in the first two hours of the day. Finishing in second was the team of Larry Hornung and Steve Harvey with another five bass limit totaling 14.13 lbs. while Alex Willworth and Austin Middleton rounded out the Top Three with a limit weighing 13.87. In the biggest news of the day, the USA Bassin Brookville Reservoir Regional added sixteen more teams to the qualification list for the 2025 Bass Cat Classic on Kentucky & Barkley Lakes, where teams will compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes during Classic Week. We certainly look forward to seeing everyone there next spring!
