IN-09 Lake Monore Spring Division

IN-09 Lake Monore Spring Division

Sunday, August 12, 2012

IN-09 Lake Monroe Spring Summer Division directed by Rick Ingram has grown some impressive numbers since it was founded in 2007. In the beginning stages of the tournament trail on Lake Monroe 12-15 teams was about the average. Now, in 2012 just 5 years later the division is drawing an average of almost 40 teams. The first tournament in March would be the one with the most participation yielding 48 teams for the season opener. At the close of the final tournament congratulations was in store for Doug Ruster and Shane Peters for winning the 2012 IN-09 division on Lake Monroe. Ruster and Peters fished consistent throughout the five tournament series and earned 466 points. The division champions were able to catch a USA BASSIN Lake Monroe season record of 61.03 pounds smashing the BASSIN Monroe division record set last year by Chuck Saunders and Rod Keel by almost 14 pounds. Doug from New Palestine In. and Shane from Shelbyville finished in the top five four of five tournaments and finished second in two of them.
Average number of fish caught per tournament during the five tournament series was 32 fish with an average weight of 83.20 pounds. Big Bass for the season on Monroe would average 6.08lbs. The highest winning weight for the IN-09 division on Monroe would also be a BASSIN record for Lake Monroe. DJ Capps and Matt McClanahan would bring in a 23.95lb bag of largemouth at the season opener in March. Jamie and Mike Stoute would capture the title of lowest winning weight for the season. The lowest winning weight title would be with 14.45lbs and is the highest of the lowest winnings weights recorded so far. Lake Monroe by the averages is putting up numbers that say largemouth bass fishing is getting better on the 10,500 acre lake.
USA BASSIN would like to thanks Rick and Jennifer for the hard work and dedication to building Lake Monroe division. BASSIN also thanks all those teams that participated and wish each team the best of luck in the upcoming regionals across the country.
