Latest News Wisconsin Regional![]() Tuesday, September 25, 2012 September 22nd - Severe weather did not stop the Wisconsin teams from fishing Lake Pewaukee. Tournament Director Don Jurs said "It was questionable whether or not we would even get to go out. High winds, lightning and wind chill temperatures in the 20's forced us to delay the start of the event." The weather created a challenge for the anglers and as a result, no limits were brought to the scales.
First place was the team of Don Jurs and Ron Taylor who brought in three smallmouth weighing 8.18lbs. They caught their fish dragging a 3/4oz football head jig in 12-16ft of water. Interestingly, the team also hooked into several muskie and landed a 46 inch muskie during the event. Their three keeper bass were enough to take the win.
The Third Place team of Ken Winsdon and Steve Vella, weighed in one keeper weighing 3.36lbs. This single fish was also the big bass of the tournament and was caught on a drop-shot.
