Latest News Florida State Regional![]() Friday, October 12, 2012 10/6/2012- The weather was hot and humid, but the fish cooperated on Florida’s Lake Toho. The top teams reported good action on reaction baits as well as soft plastics. Tournament Director David Weber added “Overall it was a great event, the water temperature was hot but the fish were biting. Most of the field reported a great early morning bite.” The Top 3 were separated by less than a pound, with all three weighing in limits in the 15 pound class.

Craig Goff recalled the winning day, ‘We caught them mostly on a Strike King 1.5 Crankbait and a Magnum Trick Worm. Really it got pretty tough later in the day, we were pretty much done by 10:30 am.”
In Second was the team of Mitch Liss and Joe Moore. This team reported catching close to twenty bass on Devil’s Horse topwater baits. “It was a hot and humid today, but calm. The topwater bite was very good in the morning.”
Third Place was the team of John Chatham and Jesse Dobson who weighed in 15.12. This team caught their fish on a variety of soft plastics and utilized one key area over and over. “We found one little cut and went through it four times, each time we went through and fished we would catch two. We were using Zoom Trick Worms and Ultravibe Speedworms,” added Chatham.
The Florida Regional was a success with nearly everyone weighing in a limit today. Teams came from across the state of Florida to compete in this event.
