KY-10 Produces Biggest Bass in U.S.A. Bassin Division History

Monday, April 13, 2009

On a windy cool morning at Guist Creek Lake, the biggest bass so far in U.S.A. Bassin Division history was weighed-in. On April 11, 2009 during the KY-10 Guist Creek Division tournament, a Largemouth tipped the scales with a weight of 8.51lbs.

It was certainly an exciting moment for all to see the big eyes, and belly of this monster bass. As I know it was a heart stopping hook set for Bobby Wilson who managed to put her in the livewell.

Team Bobby Wilson/Greg Woodruff brought two fish to the scales for a total weight of 11.81lbs to take first place and big bass of the event. The team took home close to $600 in cash and some Nervous B Baits. They are also leading the Big Bass for the Year Pot!

Their fish were said to have been caught on Black/Blue Jigs in 1’ and 16’ of water in the creek, around 10am and again at 2:30pm.

“It was a tough day of fishing, but catching my largest fish to date certainly made up for it! I enjoy fishing the U.S.A. Bassin tournaments; it’s a good inexpensive trail to fish!”
      -Bobby Wilson

Congratulations Bobby for your awesome catch that I know will hold a special place in your heart for years to come!
