Latest News Director's Classic Thursday, November 10, 2016 The Director's Classic is a fun event because all of the region directors who help run USA Bassin events get to compete against one another. This year was a huge success with 29 teams competing. They came from various states to take on Barkley Lake and try for the top prize of $3,000. This year's winners were Joe Johnson and Eric Silverstrim with a limit weighing 19.68lbs. The team focused on points with specific targets such as logs and bushes with Fishing45 jigs. "We had two over five pounds and surprised people when we told them we stayed close to the ramp. Some teams made long runs into Kentucky Lake but we were within five miles of the ramp," said Johnson. They caught seven keepers throughout the day and the jig they used was from a company called Fishing45. It was a 1/2 ounce flipping model in the Sun Perch color. Congrats to all of the top finishers!
