Latest News Wisconsin State Regional Friday, September 22, 2017 The Wisconsin State Regional was held on the Mississippi River Pool 10, Prairie Du Chein out of the St Feriole Island Boat Launch. The event featured a $1,000 place first place prize. Shawn Burton and Bart Grider traveled from Indiana to ensure they had another shot to qualify for the Ranger Cup on Kentucky Lake in May before their regional in Indiana. They did that and also won the event with what Grider called "the best fishing vacation ever." The team won with a 15.67lb limit. The team used a topwater bait and found the mother lode of fish. "We had a spot with a five-foot diameter that was fish after fish all day long," he recalled. They went to the spot with three fish and culled them all out in ten casts. The winning baits were walking baits, but they also caught some on a buzzbait. Congrats Shawn and Bart!
