Rookies Brown and Bowling get it done in Truman opener
The rookie team of Brandon Brown and Sean Bowling bested some of the toughest sticks Truman Lake has to offer and took home the 1st place check in the Truman Lake Fall Division opener on 09-21-14. In their first USABassin tournament Brown and Bowling coaxed 12.93 lbs of Truman Lake largemouth into a boatride to the weigh in. Second place was held down by the Truman Lake Classic Champions Chris Bridges and Steve Prince with an offering of 5 fish that weighed 11.57 lbs. John Krewson and Fred Baraks edged their way into 3rd place with a 7.72 lb bag that held 4 fish. Big bass honors were taken by Art Durbin with a solid fish weighing in at 3.73 lbs.
The bite was tough again as fish were scattered, although jigs, big worms, and spinnerbaits were producing fish, it was rumored that the big sack was taken on shallow squarebills on main lake flats.
