Mission 22

Oct 02, 2017
Yesterday, We Lost Over 20 Veterans to Suicide.

That makes the war at home more dangerous than all of our combat missions around the world. Let's end the stigma surrounding Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury. Let's end the silence. Let's save our veterans.

The fight to end suicide begins in the community--Mission22 Ambassadors from the greater Orlando area will be sharing awareness with the community at Kissimmee Lake Front Park on 22 October 2017.  On that day, Mission22 is prepared to assist the Tournament Director for the launch, weigh-in, and raffle.

Our advertising strategy for this event came from over 15 sponsors and local businesses in St. Cloud and Kissimmee.  The money collected will be used for three major programs in Florida:

  • Awareness programs and partner organizations
  • Funding veterans to receive treatment for Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other issues they may be facing
  • Large-scale public art to honor veterans and creating social impact for the issues veterans are facing today

Elder Heart is the 501(c)3 behind Mission 22. It is comprised of Delta Force and Special Forces operators Tom Spooner, Magnus Johnson, and Mike Kissel. Because of their personal battles with PTSD and TBI they have made it their mission to raise awareness, enlist support, and end veteran suicide in America.
