Robby Hand and Brian Carroll win.
Tough fishing was the theme at the C&O Marine Cumberland River Regional as the winning team had just four fish. In fact, none of the teams were able to manage a limit during the event.
The winners, Robby Hand and Brian Carroll, started by saying "bling squirrels finding a nut" to describe how they were able to win the event and guaranteed first place prize of $5,000. They had four fish for 10.90 and edged out second place by less than half of a pound.
"We caught four keepers and some short fish. We caught them on jig, squarebill, and a finesse worm by fishing brush and creek mouths," they said. They reported catching fish morning, midday and afternoon and their four fish were enough to take the win.
