Jesse Tacoronte and George Lewis with first ever Central Florida Regional

This year was the first year for the Central Florida Regional. Tournament Director Rich Patterson saw a need for another regional in one the biggest bass fishing states in the country, so the Central Florida Regioanl was born. Patterson hopes this event will attract people from the northern states each year when the weather starts to get cold. "It was nice down here in Florida with temperatures in the high 70's during the event," said Patterson. The event was held on Lake Toho and the connecting Kissimmee Chain of lakes.

The winning team of Jesse Tacoronte and George Lewis had a two day total of 25.05lbs, catching bags of 12.25lbs and 12.80lbs. They reported catching upwards of fifty fish each day by fishing moving water with S.O.B. ("Stands On Bottom")  crankbaits.

Second place was the team of Eric Tilson and Steve Colemanm with a two day total of 24.50lbs.

Third place was Rich Patterson and Dave Smith with a two day total of 24.00lbs. They caught their fish by using plastic worms around vegetation and also focusing on current related bass with moving baits.
