The Central Florida Regional was held on West Lake Toho out of the City Ramp.

Taking first prize was Erik Tilson and Chandler Cornelius with a two day total of 26.95. They won $1,140 and an additional $1,000 for having Garmin electronics on their boat during the tournament.

Tilson and Cornelius had a 10.83lb limit the first day and backed it up with 16.12 on the final day. They were hurt by not having a trolling motor for most of the day on the first day but still managed to catch six keepers. The second day they were able to fish mor effectively and improved their catch. "We targeted scattered grass with a Rage Toad on the first day since we had no trolling motor, we basically drifted through areas. On the second day we were able to flip thicker grass and also cast the Rage Toad to scattered grass," said Tilson. 

Second place was Lamar White and Terry Haynes with a two day total of 24.92lbs. They had 15.32lbs on the first day and were in second going into the final day. They caught a limit for 9.60 on the final day to stay in second place overall. "We caught tons of fish on the first day fishing soft plastics in the hydrilla. The second day was slower and the fish were much smaller," said White.

Our regional here in Central Florida was a big success. We had 19 teams participating in the 2 day event and my young Next Generation Team of Eric Tilson and Chandler Cornelius took first place with 26.95 lbs total weight. Lamar White and Terry Haynes came in second with 24.92 lbs total weight. Eric and Chandler were awarded the first place plaques along with cash money totaling $1140. Lamar and Terry received $760 and serious bragging rights for being our most senior team beating out all those "young bucks" with the big fast boats!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!
