Latest News TN-06 Cherokee & Douglas Lake Fall Division Wrap-up![]() Tuesday, November 24, 2009 The TN-06 Fall division on Cherokee and Douglas lakes concluded this past Saturday (11/21) with the final tournament on Douglas Lake taking out at the Dandridge free launch. It was a crisp morning with temperatures at blast-off hovering around 38-40 degrees. The sun came out early and with blue-bird skies, the temperatures quickly rose to the mid 50’s late that morning. Depending on where you were on the lake, water temperatures were between 55-60 degrees with a fair amount of stained water in most locations due to heavy rains the week prior to the event.
It was a rough day for most as several boats had difficulty locating limits. At the end of the day it was Larry & Skylar Hamilton taking first place honors with their 5 fish limit that weighed 11.20lbs. They also had lunker with a 4.10 Largemouth. Team Hamilton reported that most of their fish were caught shallow in the pockets near schools of bait. Second place went to Darryl Pluedemann & Tyler Herrell who had 5 fish weighing 7.90lbs and third place went to Lonzo Moore and Ben Bean who weighed in 5 fish totaling 7.60lbs. Congratulations to these 3 teams for their success given the somewhat difficult conditions.
At the conclusion of Saturday’s event, the Divisional Point Championship was awarded to Darryl Pluedemann & Tyler Herrell who ac*****ulated 498 points in 5 events. Their consistency was the key to their success this season as they finished 1st in three of the five divisional tournaments and placed 2nd in the other two events. Second place in the point’s race went to Larry & Skylar Hamilton with a total of 397 points. Third place went to Joe *****mings & Brian Moore with 385 points. Fourth place was Lonzo Moore and Ben Bean with 340 points and fifth place was Jason Bridwell and Steve Robinson with 294 points. Congratulations to Darryl and Tyler and those rounding out the top five for the season! And thanks to each of you who participated in and helped make the 2009 TN-06 Fall Division such a success!
