Beauchamp/Long Win Tournament and BPS Rewards 3-27-10

Gary Beauchamp/David Long fished the KY-02 Prowler Twin Lakes Spring division at Nolin Lake on March 27, 2010, and took 1st place out of a 29 boat field. The team weighed in (5) fish totaling 14.91lbs. The team received 1st place cash and $400 cash $100 (BPS rewards) from the BPS Tournament Rewards Program for their win.

The team fished out of a 2010 Nitro Z8 Gunmetal & Blue color with a Mercury Pro XS 250 hp motor that was purchased at Renegade Marine in Leitchfield, KY.

Their fish were caught using crankbaits and jigs on main lake points in 6-10 ft of water.

“We fished a good tournament as no fish were lost and the patterns we had established in practice pretty much held up for the tournament. It started out slow in the morning (33 degrees at take off), but gradually improved as the day went on. We actually caught our biggest fish (4.68 lbs) in the last 45 minutes of the day.

We are extremely impressed with the new Nitro Z8. Both David (my partner) and I purchased new 2010 Nitro Z8’s with Mercury Pro XS 250 hp motors. Mine is Gunmetal & Blue (pictured) and David’s is Gunmetal & Black. The Nitro Z8’s are one of the best handling boats that I have owned! They offer crisp performance and a dry ride. They are also priced right, and have to be the best value out there in a performance Bass boat. We purchased our boats from Renegade Marine in Leitchfield, KY. The BPS Tournament Rewards Program to me this is the best program out there for the weekend angler. Where else can you receive a $7,000.00 bonus for winning a local tournament that has a 60 or more boat field? The $500 bonus for a 20 or more boat tournament also helps. The BPS Tournament Rewards Program:

All USA Bassin events that have 20 boats or more and owners of a new or pre-owned (any model year) NITRO, PROCRAFT, TRACKER, MAKO, KENNER or SEACRAFT boat are eligible for rewards. BPS Tournament Rewards are given out in the form of cash, Bass Pro Rewards Points, or a $1,000 boat discount certificate.
