Next Generation anglers enjoy two days of great sales, workshops, and seminars from pro fisherman during a Next Generation weekend at Bass Pro Shops accross the nation. Bass Pro Shops has been a sponsor of USA Bassin since the start of our great tournament trail. Each year BPS dedicates a weekend to Next Generation anglers. The Next Generation tournament trail is another example of BPS working with Bassin. The NG Trail is a not-for-Profit public charity, devoted to providing educational opportunities that help young people prepare for a brighter future in the form of scholarships. Teams this year will be competing for scholarship prizes at this year’s NG Classic totaling almost $30,000.
The Next Generation teams are growing in numbers. NG Teams may participate in both NG trail and the USA Bassin tournament trail. However, if an adult signs up for Next Generation as a team the points go to Next Generation trail not the National trail. This allows NG teams to participate in the NG national point’s race even if they don’t have a NG division locally. The adult will be responsible for a $25.00 Membership and may participate in both trails with only one membership. But, to acquire points in both trails one must establish a team card in both and declare at the time the register for the tournament what team they want the points to go to by presenting your team card. All members 18 or under before August 31, 2011 shall be considered a “Youth” and receive a free membership into either the USA Bassin team trail or the USA Bassin Next Generation trail.
